Heidenheim

Despite their 2-1 loss at Hamburg last weekend, Heidenheim head coach Frank Schmidt saw signs of progress as his side produced 20 shots and nearly three expected goals - more than in their first three league games combined.

Still, Heidenheim's numbers are concerning: only two goals scored, nine conceded, and a seven-game winless home run stretching back to last season.

A sixth straight Bundesliga defeat would underline their early struggles, with Schmidt's side still yet to put a point on the board this season.

Team News

Budu Zivzivadze is still suspended after his red card against Borussia Dortmund in matchweek three, so Mikkel Kaufmann should continue to lead the line.

Sirlord Conteh and Arijon Ibrahimovic are expected to provide support.

Frank Feller remains out injured, meaning Diant Ramaj will again start in goal.

Predicted lineup - 4-3-3: Ramaj - Traore, Mainka, Gimber, Föhrenback - Dorsch, Kerber, Schöppner - Ibrahimovic, Kaufmann, Honsak

Augsburg

Augsburg slumped to a 4-1 defeat at Mainz last weekend, conceding twice after their hosts went down to 10 men.

Sandro Wagner's side have now lost three in a row in the Bundesliga, conceding nine goals in that stretch.

The only victory so far for Die Fuggerstädter came on opening day, though they have fared slightly better away from home with wins at Freiburg and Hallescher in league and cup competition.

After a shaky run, a trip to relegation favourites Heidenheim could provide the spark needed.

Team news

Left-wing-back Dimitrios Giannoulis is still sidelined, with Robin Fellhauer a likely stand-in. Mert Kömür should spearhead the attack, supported by Fabian Rieder and Alexis Claude-Maurice.

Captain Jeffrey Gouweleeuw will also be out for several weeks due to an internal ligament tear in his right knee.

Predicted lineup - 3-4-2-1: Dahmen - Matsima, Schlotterbeck, Zesiger - Wolf, Jakic, Massengo, Fellhauer - Rieder, Claude-Maurice - Kömür
