Hellas Verona Midfielder Ruled Out Of Inter Milan Clash After Knee Injury | OneFootball

Hellas Verona will be without Suat Serdar for Sunday’s Serie A lunch-time meeting with Inter Milan.

The German midfielder suffered a knee sprain during Wednesday’s match against Como and has been ruled out by coach Paolo Zanetti.

The club confirmed the news in an official statement, via FCInterNews.

“Suat Serdar will not be available for the Hellas Verona–Inter match due to a knee sprain sustained during the Como–Verona fixture on October 29.”

Serdar’s absence is a significant blow for Verona, who were already managing several fitness concerns heading into the match.

The 28-year-old had been a key presence in midfield, offering both physicality and experience in Zanetti’s setup.

Verona will now be forced to adjust their midfield options for the clash against Chivu’s high-pressing Inter side.

The Nerazzurri travel to the Bentegodi looking to extend their strong Serie A form.

After a disappointing loss to Napoli last weekend, Inter bounced back with a convincing 3-0 win against Fiorentina.

However, a match against winless Verona is seen as the perfect opportunity to pick up points.
