Cameroonian defensive midfielder Adrien Tamèze currently plays for Hellas Verona – and played under the incoming Marseille boss Igor Tudor last season. During an interview with RMC’s After Foot this Sunday the Lille-born former Nice and Atalanta player spoke highly of his soon-to-be former boss, Igor Tudor:
“I’m not surprised at all that he’s going to get the OM job – he is good at managing. He is someone who really lives and breaths football, he is really into it. I hope he stays as long as possible at OM.”
When asked about any potential “relational problems” that the coach could have, the midfielder told RMC “No, not at all – he got on well with the players”.
Tudor finished 9th in the Serie A last season, managing to turn around the club’s fortunes and with his side displaying impressive performances over the course of the season – but left the club at the end of may this year. The former Juventus assistant manger quickly emerged as the favourite to replace the outgoing Jorge Sampaoli after the Argentine’s shock exit on Friday.
