Benfica continue to back Heorhiy Sudakov despite a difficult spell and recent criticism. According to Glorioso 1904, the board led by Rui Costa remains convinced he will show his quality.

Off-field strain has complicated his start. He has lost his father, seen his home in Ukraine destroyed, and is supporting his pregnant wife, a draining backdrop that has affected his performances.
