According to SPORT, Fenerbahçe have accepted FC Barcelona’s offer for Dominik Livakovic, and the operation has now entered its final stage.
Barring a surprise, the 31-year-old goalkeeper will become a new Barça player in 2027.
The club will shortly begin the necessary paperwork to complete a signing worth around €4 million.
Fabrizio Romano has given the customary ‘Here we go’ to the operation, confirming that the deal is worth €2 million in fixed fee plus another €2 million in add-ons.
Once the deal is finalized, the intention is to loan the goalkeeper out for one season so that he can return next summer and join the Barcelona squad.
Barcelona are planning ahead for the future of their goalkeeping department.
With Wojciech Szczesny entering the final year of his contract, the sporting department wants a reliable successor lined up and believes Livakovic has the qualities needed to join Joan Garcia from next season onward.
There should not be any problems from the player’s side either. The Croatian goalkeeper is very keen on the possibility of joining Barça and is now waiting for the final steps of the operation to be completed.
The formula will allow Livakovic to continue playing regularly this season before making his definitive move to Barcelona.
Barça believe that securing the deal for a figure close to €4 million represents a good market opportunity and allows them to address an important position well in advance.
A familiar figure in Barcelona’s offices once again features in the operation.
Andy Bara has maintained an excellent relationship with Barça’s sporting department for years, particularly with Deco and Joan Laporta. That trust has been built through several operations over recent seasons.

The Croatian agent has been involved in important deals for the club, including operations involving Dani Olmo and Joan Garcia.
Barcelona particularly value his willingness to find solutions, even when negotiations become complicated.
Now the two sides have come together again over Livakovic. The strong relationship between Bara and the Blaugrana has once again helped an operation reach a decisive stage.
With Fenerbahce having accepted the offer, the next step will be to complete the paperwork, finalize the goalkeeper’s signing and then arrange his loan for the coming season.
