“Here we go” – Fabrizio Romano announces shock Chelsea transfer out of nowhere

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign centre back Deinner Ordonez from Independiente del Valle according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have made it clear their aim is to sign the best young talent from around the world following the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital takeover.
Theres’ been a particular focus on the South American market, with Chelsea signing stars such as Estevao, Kendry Paez and Andrey Santos.
Whilst the Blues need to strengthen the first team, they are always on the lookout for the stars of tomorrow, and have scouts watching talent all over the world.
Chelsea are said to like Brazil under-17 star Felipe Morais, but it’s another South American youngster in Ordonez who’s agreed to join the project.

Ordonez will join Chelsea in 2028.
Romano confirmed the news on Friday night, and the teenager has come from the same club as Paez and Moises Caicedo.
He took to X.com and said:
“EXCLUSIVE: Deinner Ordóñez to Chelsea, here we go! Agreement reached today for 16 year old talented defender to join #CFC project.
“Independiente del Valle accepted all conditions as Chelsea anticipate 3 top European clubs.
“The Ecuadorian will arrive in January 2028.”
Chelsea were previously linked with Ordonez, who also attracted interest from Liverpool, and the youngster has four caps for the Ecuador’s under-20 side.
Ordonez will become the latest in the line of young centre backs to join Chelsea, with the Blues also having Aaron Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr amongst their ranks.

Anselmino is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, whilst Sarr is spending the season at Strasbourg, and Chelsea also have Josh Acheampong.
Ordonez will be a different player when he arrives in 2028 than he is now, and it will be interesting to see what Chelsea’s plan for him is, and how he fits in with the other centre backs at the club.
