If Jurgen Ekkelenkamp is to leave Hertha Berlin, the Bundesliga club will sign Jean-Paul Boëtius as a replacement, according to Bild.
on Friday evening, Club Brugge are in negotiations to sign Ekkelenkamp (22) as a replacement Charles De Ketelaere, who is about to join Milan. If the Dutchman is to leave, Boëtius will join Hertha on a free transfer after his contract with Mainz expired.
Hertha Berlin have been working on a deal to sign Boëtius but first must sell to make room in the squad. The Dutchman previously played under new Hertha head coach Sandro Schwarz during their time together at Mainz – Boëtius played 42 games under the German, scoring six and creating 10.
As well as Club Brugge, Feyenoord and Royal Antwerp have shown an interest in signing Ekkelenkamp, who is represented by ICM Stellar, the same agency as Boëtius.
