Manchester United under-18s are gearing up for another exciting season.

Exciting season last year

The Red Devils were unlucky not to win a trophy last season but got exceptionally close, playing some wonderful football.

Darren Fletcher’s side reached the final of the Premier League Cup but lost to Crystal Palace on penalties.

They also made the final of the FA Youth Cup but were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Manchester City.

There is clearly a lot of talent coming through the youth ranks, as the male under-16s won a title at the Super Cup NI this summer in Northern Ireland.

They defeated Mexican side Tigres on penalties.

Upcoming season

The club’s official website reports that, “Manchester United’s Under-18 Premier League Cup dates have been confirmed.”

United will kick off their campaign at home to Charlton Athletic tomorrow at 12:00 BST.

The game will take place at Carrington and will be live on MUTV.

There will be another match away to Chelsea on Saturday 10th October. The Red Devils will travel to Cobham and the match will kick off at 11:00 BST.

The final group game will be at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers and will take place on Saturday 7th November.

The match will kick off at 11:30 GMT at Carrington.

It must be noted that the fixtures are subject to change, but these are the provisional times and dates for all three matches.

The under-18s narrowly lost 0-1 to Manchester City at the weekend.

After the game against Charlton on Tuesday, they will face Everton away from home on Saturday 29th August at 11:00 BST.
