West Brom are currently searching for a new manager after Eric Ramsay's dismissal
West Brom are in increasing danger of suffering relegation to League One this season after a disastrous start to 2026.
The Baggies are yet to win a game since the turn of the calendar year, and they are back searching for a new head coach.
The appointment of Eric Ramsay as Ryan Mason's successor proved a complete failure for the Championship side, with the 34-year-old’s reign lasting just 44 days.
He failed to win any of his nine matches in charge before being dismissed, which has led to the search for his replacement getting underway.
James Morrison oversaw the team’s 2-1 loss to relegation rivals Oxford United, but he has only been appointed as a temporary option.
The 39-year-old played over 300 times for Albion, but his only management experience has come as an interim coach for the club after taking charge at the end of the previous campaign.

Darren Moore is interested in a return to the Hawthorns amid the club’s search for a new manager.
According to Football Insider, the former Baggies’ manager is keen on coming back to oversee the remainder of the campaign.
The 51-year-old has emerged as a leading contender for the position following Ramsay’s sacking last month.
Moore took charge of West Brom in April 2018, and he spent 11 months as manager before departing in March 2019.
He is currently out of work after his exit from Port Vale last December, having overseen 100 games in charge of the team.
The coach has also been in charge of Doncaster Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town since his departure from the Hawthorns.
Moore guided the Owls to promotion from League One in 2023, but he left the Yorkshire outfit in controversial circumstances under Dejphon Chansiri before they began life in the Championship.
The 51-year-old was in charge when West Brom suffered relegation from the Premier League in 2018, although he was not to blame for their 20th place finish.
Albion are currently sitting just outside of the relegation zone now following the 2-1 loss to Oxford.
The gap to the U’s in 23rd is just three points, with Leicester City in 22nd and only one point behind the Baggies.
There are still 11 games to go, with Blackburn Rovers also in the relegation mix, with the Lancashire outfit sitting three points ahead of West Brom in 20th.
Next up for the Midlands outfit is a trip to face Sheffield United on 7 March at Bramall Lane in a 3pm kick-off.

Moore was harshly dismissed by West Brom in 2019 despite the club being in the mix for promotion back to the Premier League.
His record since then has been mixed, with the obvious high point coming at Sheffield Wednesday when he oversaw a remarkable play-off campaign that brought the club back to the Championship.
As an appointment to the end of the campaign, he may be able to get West Brom back on track and avoid relegation.
He can get the team doing the basics right again, and he will make the side harder to beat, which will be key to picking up the necessary points to stay in the Championship.
