Leif Davis was absent for Ipswich Town's midweek 1-1 draw with Watford
Kieran McKenna has claimed that Leif Davis may not be available for Ipswich Town’s upcoming clash against Swansea City.
The full-back managed just 72 minutes in the team’s 4-1 win against QPR last weekend, and missed their 1-1 draw at home to Watford midweek.
The 25-year-old has been a crucial part of the side since joining from Leeds United in 2022, and has started 12 of the team’s opening 14 league fixtures so far this season.
But a hamstring injury now has the left-back on the sidelines ahead of the November international break.
Supporters will be keen to see him back in the side this weekend as the team travel to take on the Swans.

McKenna has confirmed that Davis will need to be assessed before Saturday’s clash away to the Welsh outfit, indicating his return is far from guaranteed.
However, he is hopeful that the defender will be back in the side by the time the league returns to action after the upcoming international break, at the very least.
“Leif will be assessed ahead of the weekend,” said McKenna, via X.
“He’s touch and go for Saturday.
“If it’s not this weekend it will be after the international break.”
Davis has made 12 appearances in the Championship so far this season, contributing one assist for the Tractor Boys.
Ipswich are now unbeaten in their last three following the 1-1 draw against Watford at Portman Road midweek.
McKenna’s side are seeking a place back in the Premier League following their relegation in the previous campaign.
The draw with the Hornets has left the Suffolk outfit sitting 10th in the table, three points adrift of the play-off places, albeit with a game in hand on their rivals.
Ipswich will travel to face Swansea on Saturday afternoon in a 3pm kick-off in what is the final round of fixtures before the international break.

Even if Davis does miss the game against Swansea, the positive news is that he won’t be out for much longer.
He was missed in the draw with Watford, as he is one of the most important parts of the side under McKenna.
His form this season hasn’t quite been as impressive as when Ipswich earned promotion in 2023/24, but he remains a top Championship full-back.
