Patrick Agyemang has been linked with a move to the Premier League this January
Patrick Agyemang's future at Derby County is already the subject of speculation just months after joining John Eustace's side amid reported interest from Premier League pair Crystal Palace and Leeds United.
According to Football Insider, the Eagles could be the first to make an approach for the American forward if Jean-Philippe Mateta moves away from Selhurst Park this month.
Agyemang signed for the Rams last summer from MLS outfit Charlotte FC, and he has made an eye-catching impression in English football.
The 25-year-old has contributed seven goals and three assists from 24 appearances in the Championship for John Eustace’s side, proving particularly important in the injury-enforced absence of Carlton Morris.
It was reported last summer that Derby agreed a deal that could rise to £7.3 million for the striker, who signed a deal until June 2029..

As per the aforementioned report, Derby have placed a £20 million valuation on Agyemang, with Crystal Palace and Leeds both emerging as interested parties.
The Eagles are understood to be planning for the possibility of Mateta departing, with the forward attracting January transfer interest.
It has been reported that the 28-year-old has told the London outfit that he wants to leave before the 2 February deadline, as Aston Villa weigh up a move.
Mateta could follow in Marc Guehi’s footsteps after the defender made the switch to Manchester City earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Leeds are believed to be targeting a new addition in attack in order to aid their bid to remain in the Premier League.
However, it remains unclear whether either club would be willing to meet the £20 million price tag placed on Agyemang’s head.
Derby are currently 10th in the Championship tale following their 2-1 win against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.
Next up for Eustace’s side is a home clash against a struggling West Brom side on 23 January in an 8pm kick-off.
Derby only signed Agyemang to a long contract last summer, so they have no immediate need to sell unless they receive a big offer.

A £20 million deal would be a great turnaround just six months after signing him in a deal worth only £7.4 million.
He has performed well in the Championship so far, and could yet be key to their push for a top six finish, but it will be very hard to not cash in if a £20 million bid does arrive.
That is a lot of money for Derby, and could be effectively reinvested into improving Eustace’s squad. However, it would be hard to see either of the two clubs stumping up that much money, with the Rams clearly looking to price suitors out of a move in order to ensure Agyemang's stay in the East Midlands isn't a short one.
