How Sunderland’s loan players are faring, from promotion bids to injury setbacks

Sunderland’s loanees are scattered across Europe and the EFL, chasing promotion, minutes and fitness as the run-in begins.
According to Sunderland Echo, Simon Adingra has three goals in 10 for Monaco and played both Paris Saint-Germain legs in the Champions League play-off. Anthony Patterson has three clean sheets in seven for Millwall. Dan Neil has 10 for Ipswich, with talk it could turn permanent when his deal ends this season.
Jenson Seelt has 10 for Wolfsburg, a knee injury and illness checking his momentum over the last three months. Arthur Masuaku has two outings for Lens and was sent off during a warm-up before their Coupe de France quarter-final at Lyon. Timothee Pembele has seven for Le Havre.
Leo Hjelde has five Championship games for Sheffield United while recovering. Alan Browne has 33 for Middlesbrough, with four goals and one assist. Aji Alese suffered a serious groin injury during the 1-0 defeat at Preston in February, leaving him with one cameo for Portsmouth.
Zak Johnson has 20 for York and scored his first in a 3-0 win at Wealdstone in February. Luis Semedo has two in 16 for Morierense and has rotated in and out. Milan Aleksic has two assists in eight for Cracovia.
Niall Huggins has 20 for Wycombe, with seven starts. Nazariy Rusyn has four in 21 for Arka Gdynia on his second loan from Wearside.
