Blues are nestled in a play-off place in Champions League table
Chelsea take on Pafos in their penultimate Champions League group game this evening.
Liam Rosenior takes charge of his first European match as the Blues’ news boss at Stamford Bridge, where they take on the Cypriot champions.
The west Londoners are 16th in the Champions League table - which is good enough to qualify for the play-off round to earn a chance to progress into the knockout stages.
A victory here could see them rise as high as the top eight - which would guarantee automatic qualification for the last 16 - although that would require results elsewhere to go in their favour.
Since his arrival from sister club Strasbourg, new head coach Rosenior has overseen three games, winning two and losing one.
His debut came in the 5-1 thrashing of Charlton in the FA Cup third round, before a 3-2 loss in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
He got his first win in the Premier League at the weekend, beating Brentford 2-0 at home.
Another home game is on the agenda here, and Chelsea will welcome back a former Blue to the capital.
David Luiz, the ex-Chelsea centre-back, plies his trade in Cyprus for Pafos, who also boast the likes of former Southampton winger Mislav Orsic, ex-Watford men Ken Sema and Domingos Quina, and Ivan Sunjic, who was previously of Birmingham City.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on TNT Sports 3, with coverage starting at 7pm ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
Live stream: TNT Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Discovery+ app and website.
Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport’s live blog, with expert analysis from Dom Smith at Stamford Bridge.
