Leeds are in poor form, and have won only one game since January 18. They have picked up good draws against Chelsea and Aston Villa since then though.
They are six points above 18th-placed West Ham, but Daniel Farke will will a few more wins before he can feel fully secure.
Sunderland, after a brilliant start to the season, have tailed off massively. They have won just three of their last 14 games in all competitions.
But they can still be proud of the season they have had. They have all but secured safety, and are looking at a comfortable mid-table finish.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke: “I have rarely played with a player of his football intelligence (James Justin). If you go into the details of his game, what he is doing is always nine out of 10. It is unbelievable what he brings. I am pretty sure after his career he will be a top coach as he understands the game so well. It’s a joy to work with him.”
Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris: “They’re doing well (Leeds). They have a clear identity and the ability to go direct. They are well coached with a great atmosphere at Elland Road. Last season they were strong and the outcome at the end of the season [promotion] was no surprise.”
