Crystal Palace head to Old Trafford on the back of progression in Europe
Manchester United welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford today with full focus on consolidating their place in the Champions League places.
Michael Carrick has led the Red Devils’ resurgence since his arrival back in January, with United unbeaten under their former midfielder.
Carrick has overseen five wins and a draw in his second interim spell with the club, having taken over the reins after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked back in 2021.
This time around, he succeeded Ruben Amorim in the hot seat, and he has masterminded victories over Manchester City and Arsenal.
Those were followed by a late win and draw against Fulham and West Ham respectively, a 2-0 victory over Tottenham in between, and the scrappy 1-0 against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last time out.
Palace find themselves in 13th in the table after some poor form, although that has picked up with a 1-0 win over rivals Brighton and Wolves, sandwiching a disappointing 3-2 defeat by Burnley.
Oliver Glasner’s immediate future remains in the balance after the Austrian’s controversial comments after recent matches, with Palace fans turning on their FA Cup-winning boss in the Conference League game at Zrinjski Mostar.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage starts at 12.30pm GMT on Sky Sports Premier League, with Sky Sports Main Event showing the game from 2pm after the Old Firm Derby showdown between Rangers and Celtic.
Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app.
