A Carrington insider insists that Benjamin Sesko won’t be out of action for long, despite recent reports stating otherwise.

The Slovenian’s condition has been a topic of discussion over the last 10 days. He hurt himself while attempting a shot during Man Utd’s most recent Premier League contest away to Spurs.

Sesko then received treatment on the pitch, before leaving his team with a numerical disadvantage, as Ruben Amorim had already consumed all of his substitutions.

How long will Benjamin Sesko remain out of action

While United were happy to escape with a point amidst the challenging circumstances, they were made to sweat over the striker’s condition.

Sesko’s injury was all but confirmed when he failed to show up for Slovenia’s camp at the start of the international break. However, the extent of the knock remained shrouded in mystery.

On Monday evening, The Athletic’s Man Utd correspondent, Laurie Whitwell, delivered a grim update, claiming that the former RB Leipzig star will be out of action for at least one month with a knee injury.

Nevertheless, reputable Carrington insider Sully has painted a brighter picture in his latest update for CentreDevils.

The Man Utd journalist refutes all talks of a ‘major’ injury, as he believes the striker will be back in action in the space of two to three weeks.

How will Man Utd cope without Sesko?

While only time will tell which source had it right, Man Utd fans will be hoping to have Sesko back as soon as possible.

Sully has also highlighted the centre-forward’s impeccable work rate on the training ground. This key attribute could help him bridge the stages of his recovery path.

In the meantime, it remains to be seen whether Sesko’s absence will finally give Joshua Zirkzee the opportunity to start a match, or if Amorim will instead resort to Mason Mount, while pushing Matheus Cunha further forward, as he had done on some occasions earlier in the season.
