Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has hit back at critics amid constant backlash from pundits and supporters alike.

Despite overseeing South Africa's resurgence, the Belgian mentor has always been at the centre of scrutiny, with his selection criteria often questioned.

In the recent squad, Broos snubbed in-form Thembinkosi Lorch, sparking an uproar and debates on whether the Bafana boss was fair to overlook the former Mamelodi Sundowns star.

However, the veteran tactician is unfazed by the criticism over his decision making, stating that he takes no issue with the ‘nonsense’ keyboard warriors write about him.

“You know how I feel and what I think about social media, I don't follow that, not at all. And I think if I should read those things I will laugh because those are people who suddenly think that they are important on social media,” asserted Broos.

"They can say what they want, it's really nonsense, it's ridiculous and it doesn't affect me at all but thank you [media] that you mentioned it.

Bafana will host Zambia in an international friendly match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, 15 November.
