Hugo Duro leads Valencia’s LaLiga scoring, yet his away finishing remains the question as a trip to Villarreal looms.
Superdeporte highlights that he again has competition from Sadiq after the January window, as in 2024/25. He has seven league goals, yet only one has come away, at Espanyol in Cornellà.
Duro made it 1-2, but a late Puado leveller, after a non-existent foul for the hosts, denied Valencia and sparked a run that lasted seven matches.
At Mestalla he has struck regularly, scoring against Getafe, Athletic, Levante and Espanyol on matchdays three, six, 13 and 21.
Whenever Duro has scored this season Valencia have not lost, with four wins and three draws from seven such games.
Of his 39 top-flight goals for Valencia, only one has come against Villarreal and that was at Mestalla. He has yet to score as a visitor there, so ending that wait on Sunday would be a timely breakthrough for both player and team.
