Hugo Souza has been called up by Carlo Ancelotti for Brazil’s March friendlies. Dorival Júnior discussed his position after a goalless draw, and Corinthians now have their Libertadores group dates.

According to Meu Timao, the Corinthians goalkeeper replaces the injured Alisson Becker for the international window. Brazil face France on 26 March at 17:00 Brasília time at Gillette Stadium in Boston in the United States, then Croatia on 31 March at 21:00 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

After the 0-0 draw with Chapecoense, Dorival Júnior said he remains calm in the role and that he is doing his best. He added that he understands any potential board decision to change head coach, stressing that trust in the work is needed.

The 2026 Libertadores group-stage dates are confirmed. Corinthians open against Platense in Buenos Aires on the ninth, a Thursday, at 21:00 at the Ciudad de Vicente López.

The final round is against Platense on 27 May at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena. The group also includes Independiente Santa Fe of Colombia and Peñarol of Uruguay.
