Corinthians will seek a stay of Hugo Souza’s two-match suspension, and the goalkeeper will still travel to Salvador for Saturday’s game against Vitória.

The match, in the 12th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, kicks off at 20:00 Brasília time. According to Globo.com, the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva imposed the ban on Friday over remarks he made after last Sunday’s derby with Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena.

He alleged the referee Flávio Rodrigues de Souza favoured only one side.

If the stay is not granted, 22-year-old Kauê is expected to be Fernando Diniz’s choice in goal against Vitória.

Right-back Matheuzinho and midfielder André, both sent off in the derby, are unavailable, so Pedro Milans and André Carrillo could start.

A possible Corinthians line-up is: Kauê, or Hugo Souza if cleared, Pedro Milans, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique, Matheus Bidu, Raniele, André Carrillo or Matheus Pereira, Breno Bidon, Rodrigo Garro, Kayke and Yuri Alberto.
