Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic has insisted that he is still expecting multiple more signings before the end of the transfer window.

The Tigers have already made 11 new signings this summer after winning the Championship play-off final last term. However, Jakirovic still feels further reinforcements are required.

“I’m expecting three or four more players,” said the Bosnian coach. “We bought some players, they are good players, potential players but they need more time for adaptation and to get chemistry with the team.

“We did a good pre-season now in two days we can start the official games.

“Our recruitment team together with Mr Chairman, are working on a lot of new players so we need some positions still. We need more players and also for the competition in these positions.”

Hull are believed to be closing in on deals for Spanish duo Yeremay Hernandez and Pablo Garcia. However, Jakirovic was not willing to shed any light on their potential transfers.

“Why should I comment on these players?,” he answered on the duo. “They are not our players.

“I think we have been linked with 100 players. So all these rumours and gossip, it would not be professional if I commented on all of these rumours.

“We are trying to add some quality to our team. Hopefully we still do this before the end of the transfer window.”
