After more than two months on the sidelines, Mohamed Bachir Belloumi is finally edging closer to a return to action. The Algerian international has resumed full training with Hull City, having been sidelined with a thigh injury since December 26, when he picked it up during a match against Sheffield Wednesday.

His coach Sergej Jakirović has been cautious about Belloumi's return to competitive football.

"Belloumi trained normally with the group on Thursday. We'll consult with the medical staff to see if he can be available for the match against Millwall, or perhaps next week instead."

The Croatian manager emphasized the importance of not rushing the Algerian winger back onto the pitch.

"If you ask Belloumi, he'll tell you he's felt perfectly fine for the past two or three weeks. But we have to be extremely careful with him, as well as with Liam Millar, because Belloumi has already suffered two injuries."
