Newly promoted Premier League side Hull City have reportedly decided to call off their negotiations with OGC Nice over the signing of Mohamed-Ali Cho (22), according to reports in Nice-Matin.

This decision follows the failure to reach an agreement between the two clubs, despite a deal worth around €20m having recently been mooted. For Nice, this setback is a real blow, not only to the club’s finances – which the board is seeking to stabilise – but also to the sporting project led by new manager Olivier Pantaloni.

Far from the positive spirit now evident within the Côte d’Azur side, Cho, for his part, appears to have displayed an attitude that is said to have annoyed a large section of the dressing room as far back as last season.

In an attempt to find a solution to this situation, Nice’s management are expected to call a meeting with the forward at short notice, in the hope of satisfying all parties, whilst the split now appears to be a done deal.
