Tigers fans will be making the long journey south on May 23rd
Hull City fans will be making another journey to London on Saturday, May 23rd, as their Championship play-off semi-final triumph over Millwall secured just a fifth visit to Wembley Stadium in club history.
The Tigers haven't been present at, or come close to reaching the national stadium for 10 years in any competition since they defeated Sheffield Wednesday in the 2016 play-off final, in what was Steve Bruce's third Wembley visit with the East Yorkshire outfit and his last competitive fixture in charge.
A decade later, Sergej Jakirovic is hoping to round off what has been one of the most remarkable and unexpected seasons in City's 122-year existence by returning the club to the Premier League, 11 months after he replaced Ruben Selles at the MKM Stadium.
It has been well-documented that City's play-off berth and subsequent final appearance has been achieved under a backdrop of on and off-pitch issues, with the Bosnian unable to field a settled side for most of the season through injuries, as well as the fact the club were hit with the sanction of a two-window transfer fee restriction by the EFL in July.
Mohamed Belloumi and Joe Gelhardt's goals at The Den in the semi-final second leg will certainly live long in the memories of the 2,174 supporters who packed the upper tier of Millwall's away stand, as well as those who watched on from lounges at the MKM and beyond.
However, as they hope to see who will follow in the footsteps of Dean Windass and Mohamed Diame in terms of scoring iconic goals under the arch for City, those fans have been served a handy travel warning.

Indeed, it is set to be an exciting end to the month of May for many in Hull, with City's shot at Wembley glory coming one week before quadruple-winning Rugby League outfit, Hull Kingston Rovers, face Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup final on May 30th.
However, those who are hopeful of, and lucky enough to secure a ticket to support Jakirovic and his men for the 51st and last time this season in all competitions have been given advice on the best routes to make the long journey down from East Yorkshire to North London.
It has been reported that Hull Trains, who run between Hull Paragon Interchange and London Kings Cross, will be providing extra services on the day of the match, as well as beforehand and afterward if possible.
Supporters have been advised to avoid back-and-forth travel between the two cities by train on the day of the game due to extremely busy services, as plenty of train tickets were, unsurprisingly, snapped up after the semi-final passage against the Lions.
With street parking surrounding the stadium also extremely limited and restricted, those travelling by car have been advised to book official parking, with details coming on Friday, May 15th.
Furthermore, companies such as Acklams and Coach Innovations have already stated they will be providing several coaches from Hull and the surrounding areas, including pick-ups in the nearby towns of Beverley and Goole.

It has been well-documented that City have never lost a Championship play-off clash, with both of their play-off final victories ending in 1-0 scorelines.
Hometown boy, Windass, was the hero against Bristol City back in May 2008 to secure top-flight football in HU3 for the very first time, just four years after the club had achieved a first promotion in 19 years from League Two under Peter Taylor.
Their second play-off final win at Championship level came when Diame's curling strike flew past Wednesday keeper, Kieron Westwood, in a game which Hull dominated in extremely large spells.
However, a talking point on that day was the empty seats in the Tigers end, with many, at the time, opting to boycott in protest of the Allam family's running of the club, before they eventually sold up to Acun Ilicali in January 2022.
This time, though, thousands of City fans are expected to descend on Wembley in the hope that such a perfect record can continue with a third win over Southampton this season.
