Hull City ‘submit’ €35m verbal bid for Lyon winger Malick Fofana | OneFootball

Promoted Premier League side Hull City have lodged a €35m verbal offer to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana, 21, Foot Mercato reports.

The Belgium international had indicated he would be keen to extend his stay only if Lyon qualified for the Champions League. Lyon lost to Fenerbahçe in the play-offs.

Without Champions League income, and amid financial strain, Lyon are poised to part with their most marketable players, with Fofana at the front of the queue.

Hull have already held a video call with Fofana to outline their project. They opened their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 home win against Manchester United.

AS Roma, who are in the Champions League group stage, have an agreement on personal terms in place with Fofana. Other unnamed clubs remain in the race.
