A leading member of the attacking ranks at Real Madrid was caught on camera taking aim at Atlético captain Koke in ruthless fashion during Sunday’s meeting between the sides.
The season’s first Madrid Derby, of course, was played to completion late last night.
When all was said and done in a fiery affair, the spoils were shared between the sides, after Éder Militão’s 2nd-half opener was cancelled out by Ángel Correa deep into injury-time.
And yet, post-match, it was not the eventual result which took its place centre stage in the media chatter.
Instead, the headlines were dominated by the numerous clashes and controversy between fans and players alike.
And, as alluded to above, 24 hours on, an insight into one such back-and-forth has been forthcoming online.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, citing DAZN, whose cameras at the Metropolitano managed to pick up the details of a fiery exchange between Vinícius Jr, and Koke.
After Atlético’s captain made clear his frustration with Vinícius’ efforts to con referee Mateo Busquets, the latter sprung up from his seated position, before screaming back in Koke’s face.
And the finer details of the Ballon d’Or favourite’s rant have since been revealed, Vinícius having shouted:
“I have two Champions Leagues. You have nothing!”
