A Chelsea reporter has just come out and labelled current manager Enzo Maresca a ‘very smart coach’ in a surprising admission.
He sounds surprised when he said it, that is why I’m saying it’s a surprising admission. It’s not that The Telegraph’s Matt Law has been overly critical of Maresca during his time at Chelsea, but I guess he is somewhat surprised to be complimenting him so highly at this stage.
Law was speaking on the latest episode of The London is Blue Podcast this week and he was talking about Maresca and the impact he’s had so far and how he has been doing as Blues boss, in particular getting some big wins against sides like Liverpool at the weekend.

Matt Law said on Enzo Maresca:
“I have got to say that for all the complaints about Enzo [Maresca], tactically he’s a very smart coach.”
There is certainly some truth to this for sure, Maresca has out-foxed a number of more experienced and senior managers in his time so far, showing he certainly has the knowledge when needed.
Former Chelsea centre back Frank Lebouef believes that midfielder Moises Caicedo is now worth TWICE what they paid to sign him from Brighton after some incredible recent form has seen him shine with consistency as well.
Meanwhile, former player turned pundit Jamie O’Hara has been stunned by the transformation of left back Marc Cucurella, being one of the many that doubted him and criticised his quality before he completely turned it around and showed up to be one of the most important players at Chelsea.
