Spanish winger Pablo Sarabia has expressed his desire to continue at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, after a fantastic start to his career in England.

Sarabia joined Wolves in January 2023, as he looked to revitalise his personal career and also help the West Midlands side avoid relegation. The Spaniard played a significant role under former manager Julen Lopetegui and has continued to impress under new boss Gary O’Neil.

The winger has three goals and nine assists in all competitions this season and has firmly cemented himself in the first-team setup at Wolves. Speaking in a club interview ahead of Wolves’ trip to relegation-threatened Burnley, the Spain international has expressed just how much he has enjoyed his first full season in the Premier League.

He said: “I love football. I’m happiest when I have a ball at my feet – I enjoy football so much. The pace of the Premier League is on another level to the other leagues.

Physically, it’s the best league – all the players are at such a high level and play at such a high intensity. I enjoy it a lot and I’m getting more and more used to the league – I’m enjoying playing so much more. When I signed here, I knew that I wanted to be an important player here and I want to carry on being a really important part of this club, as they gave me an opportunity to be here.

They treat me like family. I think that’s the most important thing and I will give my all for them until the last day. That’s what I have done from the start.

In the reverse fixture against Burnley, Sarabia was handed his first start in ten matches and contributed significantly in the 1-0 win. Since then he has started in all but one league match and has been the club’s only senior attacker in recent weeks, due to a injury crisis in the forward department.

Significantly, Sarabia was recalled to the Spain National Team last month, meaning the player has every chance to be in Luis de la Fuente’s squad for the upcoming European Championship.
