Liam Rosenior has named three Chelsea players he’s very familiar with before he was appointed as the Blues new head coach.
Chelsea confirmed the appointment of Rosenior on Tuesday, and the 41-year-old watched Wednesday’s defeat to Fulham from the stands.
Rosenior has signed a six and a half year contract at Stamford Bridge, and will take charge of his first game against Charlton in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Rosenior has got a huge job on his hands with Chelsea currently eighth in the table, and on a run of one win in their last nine league matches.
The team look shot of confidence, and he’s got to come in and hit the ground running with the fixtures coming thick and fast for the remainder of the month.
Having worked under the BlueCo umbrella at Strasbourg, Chelsea reportedly believe it will be a fairly seamless transition for Rosenior.

Rosenior is reportedly happy with the squad, and he named three players he was already familiar with before joining the club.
“I’ve worked with Liam Delap (at Hull City) and had a great time with him. It’s great to see him at this club and that I get to work with him again,” he told Chelsea’s YouTube channel.
“I’ve known Rob Sanchez since he was 16 years old at Brighton (when he was) coming through. So, I know Rob very well.
“Obviously, I had Andrey Santos last year (at Strasbourg); he’s got two beautiful children that he’s brought into the world, and he had an outstanding performance at Manchester City.”
Whilst Rosenior has pre existing relationships with some of the squad he insisted he wanted to get to know the players as quickly as possible.

“But what I want to do is to get to know all of them very quickly because I think if you get to know people, you can improve them, and if they improve individually, you improve the collective, and you win games,” he added.
“That’s what my staff and I will do very, very quickly here.”
