Ibrahim Diabaté is on the verge of a move. According to Expressen, GAIS has reached an agreement with Sharjah FC for the transfer of the Ivorian striker.

Having joined on a free transfer a year ago from Västerås SK, the 26-year-old quickly established himself. In his first season in the Allsvenskan, he scored 18 goals and provided 5 assists in 29 matches, finishing as the league’s top scorer, tied with August Priske.

Highly sought-after abroad, Diabaté has been linked with Sharjah for several weeks. The agreement between the clubs is reportedly worth around €2.3 million. Only the final contractual details with the player remain to be settled. The transfer is expected to be made official in the coming days.
