Icardi hat-trick keeps Galatasaray top as Özyurt sees red | OneFootball

Galatasaray beat Eyüpspor 5-1 on Friday in İstanbul to stay top of the Süper Lig, with Mauro Icardi's hat-trick following a first half red card for Bedirhan Özyurt.

Yunus Akgün headed in the opener in the second minute from Victor Osimhen's cross. Icardi doubled the lead from close range (33.), before Özyurt was sent off for the visitors (38.).

After the restart, Icardi struck again from Osimhen's pass (48.). Baris Yilmaz then teed up his hat-trick goal low into the corner (70.). Metehan Altunbas replied from close range (71.).

A late own goal by Jerome Onguene settled the scoreline (87.).

Ugurcan Cakir made key first half stops, denying Umut Bozok from distance and tipping away Onguene's header.

Aslan posted 21 attempts and 12 corners, enjoying 62% possession. Eyüpspor mustered six attempts.
