Ilaix Moriba is set to end his disastrous time at RB Leipzig this winter as he will begin to look to find a new club reports Sky Germany.
The 20-year-old has no chance in the Leipzig squad and should leave in January. However, despite his lack of playing time, Leipzig have been impressed with how Moriba has conducted himself and with his development during his time at the club.
Depending on the situation, Leipzig will look to either loan or sell Moriba, whose contract at the club runs until 2026.
Moriba arrived in Germany in 2021 with heaps of promise when he joined from Barcelona for €16m but after six months at Leipzig where he played six times and failed to deliver, the 20-year-old would spend the next 18 months on loan at Valencia in LaLiga.
Since his return from Spain, Moriba has not been outcasted and has spent time in the matchday squad for Leipzig but he has never had the opportunity to see the pitch.
The positive for Moriba is that he is still only 20 which gives him plenty of time to deliver on the promise he showed at Barcelona.
