Ilias Chair and Kwame Poku have both celebrated QPR's 3-1 win against Portsmouth on Saturday
Ilais Chair has responded to Kwame Poku’s message to QPR fans following their 3-1 comeback win against Portsmouth.
The Hoops began the new Championship campaign with a win away to Fratton Park on Saturday afternoon.
The London outfit initially went behind in the 15th minute courtesy of a Terry Devlin strike, but were ahead by the 40th minute due to goals from Chair and Koki Saito.
The Morocco international bagged a second on the stroke of half time, which ultimately sealed all three points for Julien Stéphan’s side.
QPR will be targeting an improvement on their 15th place finish in the table from last season, having come in that position in the last two campaigns.
And they have gotten off to a promising start, as they look to climb the second division and get back into promotion contention long-term.

Poku has issued a message to QPR supporters following their away victory against Pompey on Saturday.
He praised both the performance from his teammates, as well as the support they received from the travelling fans at Fratton Park to make for a promising start to the new season.
“What a performance from the boys!!!!” wrote Poku, via Instagram.
“Amazing support from the fans as usual.
“Onto next Saturday.”
Chair responded with a simple and straightforward one word reply to Poku, writing: “Silky.”
QPR had to wait until the fourth game in 2025/26 to earn their first league victory of the campaign, winning 3-1 against Charlton Athletic.

The London outfit suffered a 7-1 defeat to Coventry City in their third game, which proved to be a real low point of their season.
So Stéphan will be pleased to see the team get off to a victorious start to the new term, which will also give supporters plenty of reason to be optimistic for the year ahead.
QPR have been active in the transfer market this summer in preparation for the new Championship season.
The Hoops have brought six fresh faces to the club since the end of the previous campaign, including Calum Ward, Dennis Cirkin, Tariq Lamptey and Boy Kemper on permanent deals.
Glen Kamara and Pierce Charles have also joined on loan from Stade Rennes and Manchester City, respectively.
QPR will be back in action against Bolton Wanderers on 22 August in a 3pm kick-off at Loftus Road, with two weeks now remaining in the transfer market.

Chair was the standout from QPR’s win over Portsmouth with his two goals, but it was a strong performance from Poku, Saito and Rumarn Burrell in attack as well.
It was a promising display from Stéphan’s side, who will now come away from the opening round with a lot of optimism for the year ahead.
Chair has shown his importance to the side once again with his two goals against Pompey, having been a key figure for the side in recent seasons.
And if he and the team can maintain this level of performance, then it promises to be an exciting campaign for the club.
