Ndiaye had been a target for Spurs after their move for Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo fell through, but they have now turned their attention to Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk.

Everton had offered Ndiaye multiple contract offers over the last 12 months but are no resigned to losing the Senegal international.

Mudryk, meanwhile, is on the market after returning from a doping ban last month.

The Ukrainian international has several different suitors interested in a loan deal, but is believed to have given his priority to Spurs and former boss Roberto De Zerbi, whom he worked under at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Spurs are also looking at the possibility of signing Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, with Kevin Danso of interest to Sunderland.

They had initially been looking at a loan move for the 28-year-old, but are said to be open to a permanent deal should they agree a loan  for Mudryk.

Premier League clubs can only have one loan player at the same time from a single club in the same division, meaning Spurs would have to buy either Tosin or Mudryk.

Chelsea, though, are only open to loan offers for Mudryk before tomorrow’s deadline.

Spurs are in the market for another attacking addition despite announcing the signings of Manchester City duo Omar Marmoush and Savio last week.

The north London club have sanctioned a loan for 19-year-old winger Mikey Moore to join Bundesliga outfit Koln until the end of the season.
