Big-money summer signings could all make bows this weekend

The attacking midfielder completed his move to the Etihad Stadium from Everton on a topsy-turvy Deadline Day, where the Senegal international could easily have ended up elsewhere.

Standard Sport reported previously that Everton, his former employers, had struck a deal with Tottenham for Ndiaye to move to the capital, with a separate agreement reached for Richarlison to return to Merseyside.

However, the Brazilian could not reach an agreement on personal terms with his old club, and as such, the double deal fell through.

City swooped in to complete a quick transfer and bolster their attacking options after Jack Grealish returned to the Hill Dickenson Stadium on another loan, after his previous spell had been curtailed through a foot injury.

Ndiaye arrives at City to bolster Enzo Maresca’s options out wide. He will do battle with Antoine Semenyo, Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden and Allan for a place on the flanks.

He will wear the No7 shirt at the Etihad Stadium, which has been vacated by Omar Marmoush, who joined Tottenham on an initial loan that has an obligation to buy.

Before Marmoush, the number was sported by Joao Cancelo, Raheem Sterling, James Milner and Stephen Ireland in the modern day.

Allan, meanwhile, the other summer recruit, will wear the No37, which the likes of Shay Given, Kelvin Etuhu and Paul Dickov have worn previously.

The pair could make their bows in their new colours as early as this weekend, when City welcome Coventry City to the north west.

The same could be said for £125m arrival Enzo Fernandez, who joined the club on Deadline Day in a record-equalling switch from Chelsea.
