‘I’ll miss you, brother’ – Barcelona star bids public farewell to Ansu Fati | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has taken to social media, to bid a fond farewell to close friend and former teammate Ansu Fati.

This comes fresh off the latter’s Blaugrana stint being brought to a permanent close on Tuesday. Attacker Ansu of course spent last season out on loan away from Catalunya’s capital, with AS Monaco.

The 23-year-old went on to enjoy a productive term in France, racking up 12 goals between Ligue 1 and the Champions League. This proved enough to convince the Monaco brass of the merits of making Ansu’s arrival permanent.

After weeks of negotiations, Barcelona in turn announced that the club’s one-time prodigy had indeed been sold earlier today.

And as alluded to above, quick to send a message of well wishes the way of his now former teammate this evening was Gavi.

In a post on his official Instagram account, midfielder Gavi unveiled a photo of he and Ansu in Barcelona colours, accompanied by the caption:

“Always one of my own, I’ll miss you a lot, brother.”
