Ilyas Ansah (21) is set to join newly promoted Premier League side Hull City for a reported €22m, according to Bild. The German attacker was seen at Union Berlin’s Stadion An der Alten Försterei on Wednesday morning to say goodbye to his teammates ahead of being driven to the airport by two friends, with a boot full of belongings.

After arriving from then 2. Bundesliga side Paderborn for €4m in July 2025, Ansah scored four goals in his first four Bundesliga games, but only scored one goal in the 29 games that followed. He’s also made 12 appearances for the German U20 side, netting five goals, and has six outings for the German U21 team, where he managed to get on the score sheet once.

For Union, Ansah would be their biggest fee received. Die Eisernen received €20.5m from Nottingham Forest for Taiwo Awoniyi in 2022, and Benedict Hollerbach from Mainz last summer.
