Pep Guardiola has been asked about his decision to attend Stockport County vs Port Vale in League One in midweek.
TheManchester City manager was a surprise spectator as third-tier neighbours Stockport lost 2-1 to Port Vale on Tuesday night.
Guardiola was in attendance at Edgeley Park, as promotion-chasing Stockport suffered a setback with defeat against already-relegated Port Vale.
Eyebrows were raised by Guardiola's decision, on a night whenParis Saint-Germain and former club Bayern Munich collided in the Champions League semi-finals.
The fixture at the Parc des Princes proved to be an all-time classic, as PSG edged a nine-goal thriller to take a 5-4 lead in the tie.
Speaking at hispre-match press conference ahead of Manchester City's clash at Everton on Monday, Guardiola opened up on his love for English football, and joked that he did not expect much from the Champions League match-up.
"I saw the calendar, the game PSG-Bayern Munich, and I said 'Ah what a disaster game! The managers are not good, Luis, Vinny. Really, really s***, s*** players!' So (I) decided to go. I'm in love with English football, and I went to see Stockport."
