Nicolas Jackson has revealed he’ll be “very happy” to see his friends when Chelsea travel to Germany to take on Bayern Munich.

Jackson finally completed his move to Bayern Munich on deadline day after some last minute drama with Chelsea ordering him to return to London after Liam Delap’s injury.

However, the move went through and Chelsea got the obligation to buy in the deal they wanted rather than the original option which had been agreed.

Nicolas Jackson shares thoughts on facing Chelsea

Jackson admitted he was emotional leaving Chelsea, but he will be reunited with the Blues far sooner than he would have expected.

Chelsea face Bayern in the Champions League on Wednesday night, in what will be Jackson’s first game for the German champions, which provides another interesting sub plot.

Jackson is in line to make his Bayern debut against Chelsea.

The Blues will know exactly what to expect from Jackson, and the Senegalese has shared his thoughts on playing against Chelsea.

“I’m very happy to see my friends and teammates from Chelsea,” he said as cited on X.com.

“Hopefully we have a good game and we win.”

Jackson supposedly has to start 40 games in order for the obligation to be triggered, which appears a steep task, but reportedly regardless of what happens at Bayern, Chelsea plan to sell the 24-year-old in 2026.

Chelsea sign Emanuel Emegha

With Jackson’s career all but over at Chelsea, the Blues have agreed a deal to sign Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha.

Emegha was confirmed as a Chelsea player on Friday afternoon, and has penned a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old will remain at Strasbourg this season and make the switch in 2026, with Chelsea fans no doubt keeping an eye on his development.

Emegha scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and has made a strong start to this campaign with three goals in four games in all competitions.
