Incredible deal could win Liverpool's transfer window

Liverpool have a chance to grab their best deal of the transfer window. And for a bargain price.

Liverpool need to sign another forward player this summer. They were lacking in wide areas as it was and Mohamed Salah's exit only exacerbates that problem.

Victor Munoz will certainly help after his arrival from Osasuna but there's little doubt that Liverpool need more. Hugo Ekitike being out until new year, questions over Alexander Isak's fitness and Rio Ngumoha's relative lack of football all combine to create a messy situation.

On top of that, the Reds have to shop in what's a pretty terrible market on the right flank. They wanted Yan Diomande, of course, but his decision to pick Paris Saint-Germain has seemingly ended their chances.

Instead, Liverpool must now find someone in a market that doesn't offer many elite options. It feels like their best bet may be to grab a player who can simply be a tide-over for a year, or potentially become a star, rather than a sure-thing.

We've offered an out-of-the-box suggestion before in Matias Soule. The Argentine has the numbers that suggest he could be on the brink of something special, while he's young enough to offer real potential.

Even better, Corriere Dello Sport claims AS Roma would sell Soule for around €35m. It's an incredible price in this market - around one third of what RB Leipzig wanted for Diomande.

The report mentions other Premier League clubs as interested in Soule, but not Liverpool. Hopefully, that changes as Soule could be exactly what the Reds need for next season.

A creative outlet who can play from the right or through the middle, while boasting star potential. €35m could honestly end up looking like a steal - and potentially the Reds' best deal of the entire transfer window.
