Al-Nassr defender Iñigo Martínez completed a treatment and rehabilitation session on Saturday morning at the club’s Riyadh training base as he steps up his recovery from injury.
The Spaniard sustained a hamstring tear before the March international break, ruling him out as his recovery began.
He missed the 5-2 win over Al-Najma on matchday 27 while undergoing an intensive programme, and will sit out today’s game against Al-Khaloud at Prince Hazloul bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Najran.
According to Saudi daily Al-Riyadiah, the centre-back is nearing full fitness and could return for the 29th-round meeting with Al-Ittifaq next Wednesday.
Martínez has made 34 appearances this season, totalling 2,920 minutes and scoring three goals for Al-Nassr. Jorge Jesus’s side lead the Saudi Pro League on 70 points going into today’s fixture.
