Jordan Teze is expected to partner Thilo Kehrer at centre-back against Juventus on Wednesday, with Monaco hit by a spate of defensive injuries. Signed as a right-back and used mostly in midfield this season, he could again fill in centrally. According to L'Équipe, this solution is being considered.

After setbacks for Christian Mawissa and Mohammed Salisu, two more defenders were injured during Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Le Havre.

Wout Faes sustained an external sprain of his left ankle and faces several weeks out. He was not eligible for the Champions League, but he will also be unavailable in the league and Coupe de France.

Eric Dier also headed back to the treatment room. Introduced for Faes on 29 minutes, the Englishman then departed with a right hamstring problem shortly after heading the ball, and Teze replaced him on 70 minutes. He will miss several weeks, his third lay-off this season after one month out in October with a similar issue, then four weeks the following month with a calf injury.

The line-up expected to face Juventus mirrors the side that finished at the Stade Océane, namely: Köhn, Vanderson, Teze, Kehrer, Caio Henrique, Camara, Zakaria (cap.), Akliouche, Fati, Golovine, Balogun. Monaco will be guaranteed a play-off spot with a win on Wednesday, otherwise it must rely on other results. Supporters’ groups plan a protest march before the game, maintaining calls for director general Thiago Scuro to leave.
