With their midfield revamp complete, Manchester United’s next focus is trying to sign Luke Shaw’s eventual successor.
Lewis Hall looks unlikely due to Newcastle’s adamant stance, while Adrien Truffert of Bournemouth is another Premier League-proven name being monitored.
INEOS have been forced to cast a wider net, with David Raum of RB Leipzig being one of the names of interest.
The German’s current deal is valid until next season, and he could be available for a cut-price fee.
A previous report relayed by The Peoples Person had revealed that a deal is doable for less than £30 million.
Add to this his on-field rapport with Benjamin Sesko, and Christopher Vivell potentially pushing for his signing, and fans were right to be excited.
The 28-year-old revealed to journalist Philipp Hinze that there is interest in his signature, but a concrete call is yet to be taken.
“I’m now heading into the final year of my contract,” the full-back was quoted as saying.
“I don’t need to lie about the fact that inquiries are coming in – that’s obviously to be expected. As things stand, I’m looking forward to the season with Leipzig.”
Whether INEOS will pursue the Germany international remains to be seen, but a left-back is needed, especially if Harry Amass also departs.
Alejandro Balde is another name on the Red Devils’ radar, but Barcelona’s demands are currently proving prohibitive.
