Inter could come back for Tottenham defender Djed Spence | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence could leave the North London outfit this summer with several clubs interested in his signature.

One of the clubs showing interest in the Spurs star is Inter Milan. However, they were looking for cheaper alternatives in the market.

According to Gianluca DiMarzio, after failing with a move for Moussa Diaby, they could return to try and strike a deal with Tottenham for Spence.

Spurs reportedly value him at around €35 million plus another €5m in bonuses after establishing himself as a reliable performer for club and country.

Spence caught the eye last season with his ability to play seamlessly on the left and right side of the defence as a full-back.

The 25-year-old helped keep eight clean sheets in 30 league appearances, winning 47 percent of his aerial and 48% of his ground duels.

He carried that form to the 2026 World Cup, where he helped England finish in third place, showing his never-say-die attitude along the way.

Spence could be open to leaving after Tottenham signed Andy Robertson to provide competition for Destiny Udogie on the left side alongside Souza.

On the right, Spurs have the ever-dependable Pedro Porro, who was one of the better players at the World Cup, meaning game time might be difficult to come by.

However, Spurs should not make life easier for interested clubs.

Spence is now an England international coming off an impressive World Cup campaign, and that should strengthen Tottenham’s negotiating position.

If Inter Milan or any other suitor genuinely wants him, they should be prepared to meet Tottenham’s valuation rather than expecting a discount.

Spence is entering his prime and has proven he can perform at the highest level.

Tottenham have no reason to do anyone favours. If they sell, they should demand every penny his performances and profile warrant.
