Yann Aurel Bisseck has paid the price for an early blunder and the arrival of Manuel Akanji, and is pondering leaving Inter to feature more regularly. The young center-back believes he has a shot of making the Germany squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The talent could ask in January and is attracting interest from his home country, Bild reports (via Fantacalcio). Eintracht Frankfurt are keen. They liked him in the past but missed out, as the Nerazzurri swooped in when he was at Aarhus.
The two sides are in contact, but nothing is imminent, as Inter have set a substantial valuation for Bisseck. They would have sold him only for €40M last summer. The sum could go down, but not dramatically. At this stage, the front office isn’t planning any major January moves one way or the other, Calciomercato informs.
As for the future, the Nerazzurri are keeping tabs on Dayot Upamecano, who’s on an expiring contract. Bayern Munich will continue trying, but it’s not an easy negotiation, Fabrizio Romano reports (via SOSFanta). On the other hand, top teams would flock if he really left on a free, making him a difficult and expensive target despite the situation.
It won’t be long before they have to decide whether they are definitely in or out on him. He has an impressive physique and has displayed interesting flashes. However, he has generally fared better the most consistently he starred, but he has always had to compete with more established players, and he has the occasional gaffe that irks coaches. It wouldn’t be surprising if they seized the opportunity to record a ‘plusvalenza’ and grabbed a more consistent player who’s comfortable being a deputy.
