Internacional met the Federação Gaúcha de Futebol on Tuesday to seek clarification over decisions in Gre-Nal 450, the first leg of the Gauchão final played on Sunday.

According to Globo.com, the club requested the meeting after issuing a note expressing concern and criticising the review of an incident involving Arthur and Borré.

Inter were represented by executive Fabinho Soldado and vice-president Vitor Grunberg, and were received by Leandro Vuaden, president of CEAF-RS. Inter outlined what they viewed as errors, and Vuaden, a former referee, accepted some of their points, with the club describing the talks as productive behind the scenes.

Inter believe the result was shaped chiefly by the officiating. In his press conference, Paulo Pezzolano characterised the display of Anderson Daronco and his team as tendentious.

One contested incident was a possible elbow by Grêmio’s Arthur on Borré on the edge of the box, after which the Colombian forward remained down.

The club’s biggest complaint concerned Grêmio’s second goal, scored by Amuzu on 38 minutes while Ronaldo was on the turf. The move began with a challenge between Noriega and Ronaldo, and Daronco had played advantage.
