Inter Miami open up talks with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner

Sky Germany reports that Inter Miami have opened up discussions with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner. The former German national team striker appears all but certain to depart his current Bundesliga outfit during the January transfer window. America’s MLS is the 29-year-old’s most likely destination.

Werner has already been linked with both Los Angeles MLS franchises. It may nevertheless prove the case that – just like with Werner’s former German national team colleague Thomas Müller – a different club will step in to snatch the DFB international up.

Interestingly enough, Müller’s Vancouver Whitecaps have pushed through the MLS playoffs thanks to the 36-year-old’s presence. Müller’s Canadian franchise is set to contest the MLS final against Lionel Messi’s famous Floridians.

The MLS cup Final between Inter Miami and Vancouver is set to take place on December 6th in Ft. Lauderdale. With the American season set to conclude, Werner’s next destination will likely be confirmed quickly.
