Benjamin Cremaschi has joined Parma Calcio on a five-year contract, becoming Inter Miami’s first academy graduate to reach a club in Europe’s big five leagues. According to interheron.com, the 21-year-old’s move to the Serie A side carries a reported $4.7 million fee.
Despite a knee injury that curtailed his loan spell in Italy, he showed enough to earn a permanent switch.
Inter Miami sporting director Alberto Marrero described the step as a source of pride for the club and said it fits the model they want to cement, progressing from academy to first team to Europe.
Miami’s focus is winning trophies and building the strongest squad allowed under Major League Soccer rules, with sales helping to fund elite additions.
The fee is likely to assist payments for Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, 34, who is expected to sign once a discovery rights issue with the Los Angeles Galaxy is resolved.
Transferfeed.com reports that defender Noah Allen, a homegrown who features for Greece’s youth teams, has attracted Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. The report adds that 2024 draft pick Yannick Bright is on Serie B club AC Monza’s radar, while Fiorentina have shown interest in Argentine forward Mateo Silvetti, 20, who joined in August from Newell’s Old Boys and claimed a starting role.
The rumour mill is likely to intensify as the summer transfer windows near, and Miami are usually active in seeking upgrades.
