Inter Miami have signed Canadian goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair. The club said in a statement he has agreed a deal through the end of the 2026 MLS season, with an option for the June 2027 sprint season. The 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year bolsters their goalkeeping unit.
St. Clair, 28, arrives after a standout campaign with Minnesota United, where he was named 2025 Goalkeeper of the Year and helped the Loons reach a second successive Western Conference semi-final. He is a two-time MLS All-Star, in 2022 and 2025, and the 2022 All-Star Game MVP.
The Ontario native progressed through regional semi-professional sides before joining the University of Maryland in 2015. He spent four seasons with the Terrapins, then went seventh overall to Minnesota in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
Loans with Forward Madison and San Antonio preceded his 2020 recall, when he started the final 13 regular-season matches and three MLS Cup Playoffs games, conceding 15 goals and keeping eight clean sheets. He later established himself as Minnesota’s first-choice goalkeeper.
In 2025 he led MLS with a 77.93 percent save rate, plus the most saves, 113, and clean sheets, 10, across 30 regular-season games. He was the only goalkeeper to post a 1.00 goals-against average while maintaining a save percentage above 75 percent.
Capped by Canada since 2021, he debuted with a clean sheet in a 7-0 World Cup qualifying win over Aruba and has 18 senior appearances. He moves as a free agent after his Minnesota tenure.
