The club said in a statement that it has signed Paraguayan midfielder Matías Galarza on loan from CA River Plate through the end of the 2026 MLS season, with an option to buy at the loan’s conclusion. The move is pending his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 visa, and was completed before MLS’s secondary transfer window closed.

Galarza, 24, arrives with experience in the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, and has established himself with Paraguay’s senior side. He featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring once and providing one assist as La Albirroja reached the Round of 16.

Born in Asunción, he came through Club Olimpia’s academy before a loan to CR Vasco da Gama, where he made his professional debut and signed his first contract. He joined Coritiba on loan in 2022, then moved to CA Talleres on loan the following season.

His switch to Talleres became permanent in 2025, after which he joined CA River Plate in Argentina’s top flight. At the start of 2026 he went on loan to MLS side Atlanta United for the first half of the season, then returned to River Plate.

Since his senior debut in 2022, Galarza has earned 19 caps for Paraguay and previously represented the country across multiple youth age groups. He now adds versatility to Inter Miami’s midfield.
